Our Story
We’re Swati and Bharti Rana — two sisters from Mussoorie, nestled in the mountains of Uttarakhand. We never planned to start a jewelry brand. We just loved making things with our hands.
One day we made something, shot a quick video, posted it on Instagram — and orders started coming in. That’s when we thought, maybe this is something real.
In December 2024, we set up our very first stall at the Mussoorie Winter Carnival. Standing in the cold mountain air, watching people pick up our pieces and smile — that feeling was everything. That day, SauGaat Handmade was truly born.
SauGaat means gift.
And we truly believe the most meaningful gift is one made by hand — with time, with care, with a little bit of soul.
We live in these mountains. We grew up with the colors of Pahadi festivals, the sound of ghunghrus, the warmth of local traditions. Without even trying, all of that finds its way into everything we make.
We are not a factory — and we never want to be.
Every piece we make is slightly different. Slightly imperfect. Completely handmade. And that’s exactly what makes it special.
